How do you recruit people for your squad in Mass Effect 2?

Hey guys, I was just wondering how people are added to your squad. I have never played Mass Effect 1, but the game looked awesome so I bought 2 and I love it so far. Please help me. Mister big is not only awesome, but he's right too. Also if you go to your galaxy map in the normandy, it will tell you which planets to go to if you want to recruit. For example, it you fly to a mass relay station, under the star system name it will say "recruit [squad member name]". Once you are in the system look at all of the planets and you should find the one you need to get to. Under the planet name it will say the same thing ("recruit [squad member name]")How do you recruit people for your squad in Mass Effect 2?
you recruit people in mass effect 2 by recieving dossiers from the illusive man. you first contact the illusive man when you escape the research facility you were reborn in. Once the illusive man gives you the dossiers go back to your ship and use your galaxy map which is on the second floor (which you start at) and activate the nearest mass relay. go to one of the clusters that says recruit archangle or jack (which ever one you want) and it will zoom in on that cluster then you go to the planet or area that also says help jack or archangle or the krogan and as you talk to people you will find the mission to recruit that person. (I recomend mordin and archangle because the are on the same planet so its easier) hope this helped :)
If your just starting our you only have the two humans with you, but as you complete missions that are related to the main story line other members will join you. I think the first one you find is a Quarian, she will join you before you leave the Citadel Station- provided you are pursuing the main story-line.
