So im wanting to replay Mass effect 2 because all the trailers for 3 are getting me excited. Well last time i played i saved everyone but jack, shes a ***** and i guess my karma wasnt good enough. Anyway does my good karma have to be all the way up or just high, cause i like doing some of the rouge actions in the game. Do i have to be good everytime or just cut back the bad?Does your karma have to be all the way to good to save your whole crew in Mass Effect 2?
No karma really has nothing to do with it. You have to have done all the friendship quests for them. And you have to send people in the right group. I had jack with me when i fought the last guy. I don't remember the whole thing but i know you have to send legion in the walls to open stuff. and he has to be fully unlocked friend wise. I manage to have everybody survive with no problem but i used a walk through to tell me what characters to go where.Does your karma have to be all the way to good to save your whole crew in Mass Effect 2?
Morality in Mass Effect is called paragon and renegade. A paragon is a good guy, a renegade is a ruthless character.
When Miranda and Jack are fighting you need either high paragon or renegade to keep both characters' loyalty.
However, not everyone has to be loyal to survive. In my brother's playthrough Jack was not loyal and she survived. The trick is to not give her a special assignment during the suicide mission and not take her to the boss. In the final phase of the suicide mission you have your boss squad and a defensive team holding the door. If Jack is not loyal she has to be in that group and you have to make sure the best defenders are in that group as well. Those are Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed. Ideally there are no other squishy characters in there, like Mordin, Tali and Kasumi. That's why you send one bad defender to the Normandy and take two to the boss.
To summarize, this is a possible setup where everyone lives if Jack is not loyal:
Team Leader: Garrus
Biotic: Samara
Vents: Legion
Escort: Mordin
Final boss squad: Tali and Kasumi (or if you don't have Kasumi, pick Thane)
This way the defensive group is so strong that even Jack survives despite not being loyal.
