How do I prevent myself from getting Renegade points in Mass Effect 2?

I've been playing Mass Effect 2 for a while and I always seem to get Renegade points after every scene where I have to choose my dialogue. I try my best to choose what seemed to be the nicest dialogue choice, but I always end up with at least 1 Renegade point. Please help. I hate the scars you get from being bad.How do I prevent myself from getting Renegade points in Mass Effect 2?
In general conversation just try to be a good guy Greg, say nice things to people and avoid being mean. This can be done by selecting the top right option on the dialogue wheel. Occasionally the top left option will come up coloured in blue use this whenever possible to get maximum paragon points and avoid using dialogue options coloured in red.

One way to avoid getting renegade points and even more paragon points is to refrain from using the renegade decision that happens mid conversation (initiated by pressing RT or R2) and instead only activate the paragon one.

And don't panic if you get a little bit of renegade if you're going for a paragon play-through, 2 renegade points from telling a krogan to shut up isn't going to do much. Just make sure that 90%+ you are doing the paragon option. But who knows maybe doing what ever dialogue option you want may be more fun for you but maybe not as beneficial as sticking to renegade or paragon.
The position of the dialogue choices indicates the moralty. The choices on the lower half (and aggressive choices in general) tend to be Renegade, while the upper half is usually Paragon. Doing Renegade interrupts (marked by a star) usually increases your Renegade points as well.

If you really want to get rid of the scars, there's an upgrade for the ship you can research once the salarian scientist Mordin Solus has been recruited. I believe you speak to Doctor Chakwas to unlock the upgrade, once the lab is unlocked. The upgrade will fully heal your scars and negate the effect your Paragon/Renegade meters have on your appearance. How do I prevent myself from getting Renegade points in Mass Effect 2?
Well if you keep selecting the top-right dialogue options and don't use any intimidate options or Renegade interupts then you can mostly avoid acquiring any negative points, although one point here or there won't make the scars show up.

If the reason you can't choose Paragon options is if you imported a Mass Effect 1 character with good morality, which would lock out some of the nice options throughout the game.

If push comes to shove, you can go to Doctor Chakwas and pay to have the scars fixed even if you are full renegade.
The usual set up is when your talking the bottom option is paragon the middle is sort of neutral or just useless and top is usually renegade.

EDIT: Just say what ever is nice if you don't want to get renegade even if you don't agree with it!How do I prevent myself from getting Renegade points in Mass Effect 2?
top answers on the dialogue wheel, blue answers, blue interrupt keys during cut scenes....you'll be good to go; just be a nice guy
