Does Mass Effect 2 add extra scenes to a cut scene after you played it the first time?

My dad keeps telling me that every time he starts a new game in Mass Effect 2 he sees more smoke in a scene, a different angel in it , or more scenes in general.

I don't think this is true I can't find anything on the internet that says this is true and also I don't see it myself when I've played the game again.Does Mass Effect 2 add extra scenes to a cut scene after you played it the first time?
No, different choices might cause different events, but playing through the game again doesn't change the scenes.Does Mass Effect 2 add extra scenes to a cut scene after you played it the first time?
if your dad plays a good bit there's a chance that he's becoming desensitized to the stuff he sees all the time, so he's noticing more that happens in the background, because he's seen the main stuff before....

also, you can make different choices that lead to seeing stuff a little differently...Does Mass Effect 2 add extra scenes to a cut scene after you played it the first time?
When you decide to replay Mass Effect 2 it is only replaying the scenes. The only way to see different scenes in the game is to make different choices, but the starting scene will always remain the same.
