I talked about to a friend about Mass effect 2, this guy then comes in and says that many people have been saying that The old Republic is better and has better graphics then Mass Effect 2. Can you really compare an RPG to an MMO? Can you really compare it to a game not even out yet?Can you compare Mass Effect 2 and The Old Republic?
The Old Republic definitely does not have better graphics because it's being designed to run smoothly on laptops and entry level desktops. The art style, as a result, is cartoony but the environments look pretty nice. Combat in The Old Republic is typical retro RPG style and you could compare this to Dragon Age or World of Warcraft. The one thing Mass Effect 2 and The Old Republic have in common, gameplay-wise, is the dialogue wheel. The Old Republic is unique for an MMO because it focuses on the players' storylines and allows the same kind of character development as in the Mass Effect series.
