Would a mass effect 2 pirated save work on a retail version of mass effect 3?

I have a pirated version of mass effect 2 (because my dad won't buy it) and I want to know if I buy ME3 will the save still transfer over like normal or not? I'm playing on the PC.Would a mass effect 2 pirated save work on a retail version of mass effect 3?
Yep. Will work. I added a profile from my then downloaded Mass Effect 1 into my retail copy of ME2 without a problem...
